Ordinary magic knows how important sport is to young people’s mental health and strive to encourage more young people into physical activities. We are specialists at providing support to sports organisations and associations across Birmingham and Solihull to deliver programmes that promote resilience to vulnerable children and their families.
We have expertise in working with hard to reach children and young people including
- Girls in sports
- Disabled Young People
- Young People Not in Employment of Education
- Young people suffering from anxiety or other mental health symptoms
We get involved alongside the sports provider to work with each child and young person socially and emotionally. We help children explore their feelings and how they can manage them both by playing sport and whilst playing sport to encourage retention and sustainability.
If you have a specific idea in mind or would like us to run a project for your organisation, please get in touch. We can also help with funding applications too!

Ordinary Magic are excited to get to work with Inclusive Sports academy to work with young disabled people holistically to help them develop both their bodies and minds.
Wrap around and Holiday Scheme services
Ordinary Magic provides support to sports clubs with their holiday schemes. We do this by providing a Wrap Around service for parents who work and require a holiday scheme to run from 8am until 6pm so that they can get to and return from work.
Ordinary Magic can provide activities that build on children’s abilities to make decisions, problem solve and work as a team before and after your core activities have been delivered.
Delivering this service alongside sports clubs has been seen to increase the number of participants in the sports holiday schemes dramatically, providing more revenue for the club.
Ordinary Magic can also provide breakfast and snacks too.
If this is something your sporting club would be interested in please do not hesitate to contact us
