Resilience
Ordinary Magic’s aim is to support the local community to build confidence and resilience to help combat the stress of modern day life and ensure children are able to meet their full potential.
But what is resilience?
Resilience is the ability to ‘Bounce Back’ from adversity, failure or disappointment.
Ann Masten (2013) describes the process of building resilience as ‘Ordinary Magic’ because to build resilience all children need are the right environments, the right relationships and the right chances to be able to safely explore themselves and the world around them.
Here at Ordinary Magic we are great at getting to know the children we work with and supporting them on their journey to becoming more confident, resilient and brilliant young beings!
