"I nearly cried when I heard everyone chanting his name. He hasn’t interacted with other kids for such a long time. I was so proud of him for coming along and getting involved. He would like to try more things in the future." - Mom of E, aged 13 – attended our Summer HAF Engineering workshop.

Personal Assistant (PA) Support

Some children need a little extra help to take part in everyday activities - whether it’s getting out into the community, joining in with play, or feeling confident in new environments. That’s where our PA (Personal Assistant) support comes in.

Our PA service creates personalised profiles and care plans so every session has purpose—supporting growth, confidence and independence while making sure children are having fun.

Our caring, trained team offer one-to-one support for younger children with additional needs. We gently encourage them to try new things, build social skills, and enjoy the world around them - always at their own pace. Whether it's attending a group, going on a local trip, or simply building trust through play, our PA support helps children feel safe, included, and more independent.

This is a paid-for service, and many families access it using Direct Payments from their local authority or personal budget. We’re happy to help you explore your options and understand how the process works.

This service is ideal for children who may not access traditional childcare or group settings easily, or who need that extra bit of one-to-one support to feel settled and thrive.
